2013 TEAM LUPUS LA

In 2013, Team Life Without Lupus has nearly 100 runners and walkers participate in the LA Big 5K and the ASICS LA Marathon. The top fundraisers were Sarah Bowman and Nicole Fogel. The team was featured in on the KTLA morning news. Several team members were interviewed about their personal lupus stories. The Rotary Club of Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills High School Interact Club was heavily involved and helped support the 5K and the Lupus LA cheering station on Rodeo Drive.

2013 Orange Ball

2013 ORANGE BALL

The 2013 Orange Ball was held at The Beverly Wilshire and was hosted by comedian Bob Saget. Actor Jason Alexander was presented the Loop Award by Patrick Warburton. Dr. Jay Schapira was presented the Daniel J. Wallace Founder’s Award by singer Toni Braxton. Dr. Stanley J. Naides accepted the Medical Visionary Award on behalf of the Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute. Guests enjoyed a fun filled evening and were treated to an intimate performance by Toni Braxton.

2013 Get Lucky

2013 GET LUCKY FOR LUPUS LA

On the rooftop of the Petersen Automotive Museum, Lupus LA honored Josh Altman (Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing) with the Lupus LA Ace Award. Notable attendees included Laila Ali, Ian Ziering, Carl Weathers, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bobby Brown, Shannon Elizabeth, Gilles Marini, and Tito Ortiz. The winner of the tournament was actor Roger Cross. Guests enjoyed an exciting silent auction and catering by Let’s Have a Cart Party. 2013 Bag Ladies

2013 HOLLYWOOD BAG LADIES LUNCHEON

The 2013 Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon was an exciting year and included Sharon Stone’s collection of over 70 couture handbags. The honorees of the day were Janice Wallace, wife of Lupus LA founder, Dr. Daniel J. Wallace, and The Stone Family, Dorothy, Kelly, and Sharon. Hosted by Louise Roe, guests enjoyed a silent auction with over 250 handbags at The Beverly Wilshire. Guests enjoyed a “Parade of Handbags” which featured the latest designs by Fendi, Burberry, and Versace, to name a few.
