Auto Club Speedway Announces “Loops for Lupus” Ticket Package

Fans Receive a Discounted Ticket and Pit Pass for the Pepsi 500 and Much More While Supporting Cause

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — NASCAR fans will have the opportunity to purchase a discounted ticket and pit pass for the upcoming Pepsi 500 and receive a hot lap in the Auto Club Speedway pace car all while making a donation to Lupus LA, Auto Club Speedway President Gillian Zucker announced today. The $95 Loops for Lupus ticket package includes a $55 Sunday ticket, a pit pass ($55 value) and fans will also have the opportunity to ride in the pace car on the superspeedway’s 2.0 mile oval for a “loop” (hot lap) at a date to be determined. A part of the proceeds from every ticket package sold will go to benefit Lupus LA.

“NASCAR fans will not only get a tremendous deal on tickets for the Pepsi 500 and a one-of-a-kind experience on the race track, but even more importantly, they’ll be donating to a great cause,” said Zucker. “This partnership is a great way to assist Lupus LA in providing education about a disease that affects so many people in our country.”

One of America’s least recognized major diseases, over 1.5 million Americans suffer from lupus, a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect virtually any organ of the body. Because its symptoms come and go and often mimic those of other diseases, lupus is difficult to diagnose. No single laboratory test can definitively prove that a person has the complex illness. Ninety percent of people with lupus are women.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Auto Club Speedway to raise awareness and funds for the fight against this devastating disease,” said Lupus LA Executive Director Linda David. “With Loops for Lupus, we are one lap closer to winning the race for the cure!”
