Katherine is an OBGYN and fertility specialist based in Beverly Hills, California.  Immediately following her graduation from OBGYN residency she developed her first symptoms of lupus.  Her diagnosis of SLE came 15 months later after consulting with over 20 physicians across different specialties and institutions.  Her journey navigating the health care system and a lupus diagnosis significantly transformed her personal and professional life.  She aspires to empower her patients and those around her to maintain hope in times of uncertainty and continually advocate for themselves.
