Susan Bazarsky, Executive Director | Ext. 1

Susan oversees the development, management, finances, and staff of Lupus LA. Additionally, she works closely with the Board of Directors, the Medical Advisory Board, and the Ambassadors, as well as the many volunteers, sponsors, and vendors to help meet the goals of the Lupus LA mission.


Mia Gunzenhauser, Development Associate | Ext. 3

Mia oversees grant writing at Lupus LA and works closely with the Executive Director to execute development campaigns, manage donor relations and provide additional support in the day-to-day operation of the organization.


Maggie Sepkowitz, Virtual Care Coordinator | Ext. 2

Maggie Sepkowitz, LCSW has been a clinical social worker for nearly 21 years, and has been connected to Lupus LA for nearly 11 years. She helped to create Support and Education Groups for pediatric rheumatology patients and their families which were held at CHLA. Lupus LA has been a community partner of this unique program from the beginning. Maggie is excited to now be part of Lupus LA as their Virtual Care Coordinator. She provides one-on-one client assistance and connects families to resources that are available within Lupus LA and the larger LA area.
