Lindsy J. Forbess, M.D., M.Sc., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the department of rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She has a specific research interest in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and its relationship to lung disease, along with other autoimmune conditions, such as vasculitis and rheumatoid arthritis. She has a Master’s in Clinical Investigation and is involved in clinical trials for drug therapies for SLE as well as other studies involving genetics, biomarker discovery, and clinical trial outcome measure assessments. She has authored publications and textbook chapters related to SLE. She also has a busy clinical practice that she shares with her mother, Elayne Garber MD, where she cares for patients with SLE and other disorders.
