May is Lupus Awareness Month and Lupus LA is taking this opportunity to not only build more awareness, but also raise necessary funds to help find a cure for lupus. As you may know over 1.5 million people have lupus in this country, yet it is a rarely talked about disease. We desperately need to raise more awareness.
Here’s where you come in:  We are asking our Ambassadors, friends, and supporters to use their social media platforms to spread the word about lupus and how people can help put an end to this debilitating disease.

Last year we launched this campaign with tremendous success. 
With the support of our friends and ambassadors, we
REACHED OVER 20 MILLION PEOPLE for lupus awareness.
 

HIGH FIVE FOR LUPUS ^TM is a text-to-give campaign where people can text the word HIGHFIVE to 20222 and a $5 donation will be given to Lupus LA through their cell phone bill with any carrier.

Lupus LA will be posting and tweeting regularly in the month of May.  You can simply copy one of our messages and post it to your own pages or you are welcome to make up your own.  We will be doing Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts with pictures of folks getting a HIGH FIVE, along with the attached messages. We encourage you to also post a picture of your own HIGH FIVE on your Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.

The best way for this campaign to be successful is by having our Ambassadors and friends participate in this program. Your followers will hopefully not only give a HIGH FIVE FOR LUPUS ^TM, but also share your post with their followers as well.
We would like to ask that you tweet/post once a week during the month of May for HIGH FIVE FOR LUPUS ^TM.  If you can get your friends/colleagues/family to do this as well, that would be great.  Again, our goal is awareness and funding for the programs we provide.  As one of our supporters you are a valued member of the Lupus LA family and we wouldn’t be able to succeed without your dedication.
