Lupus LA Announced as a Silver Winner in Podcast and Audio at The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards

LOS ANGELES — Jan. 30, 2024 – Lupus LA proudly announces its achievement as a Silver Winner in the Podcast and Audio Category at The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards. This prestigious recognition highlights Lupus LA’s dedication to creating impactful content that educates and supports the lupus community.

This year’s Anthem Award Winners were meticulously chosen from more than 2,000 submissions across 44 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). The panel, comprised of diverse and intellectual leaders from the impact industry, recognizes outstanding work that inspires sustainable change globally. Among the esteemed IADAS members are experts like Heather Dowdy of Netflix, Alex Amouyel of Newman’s Own Foundation, and Noel Kinder of Nike.

Lupus LA’s podcast, #YourStoryOurFight, has been instrumental in providing a platform for sharing the real-life experiences of those affected by lupus. The podcast aims to shed light on the challenges faced by patients and caregivers, offering insights, resources, and hope to listeners worldwide.

“The Anthem Awards were born out of the desire to amplify and celebrate the voices that are creating sustainable change and to inspire others to take action,” said Patricia McLoughlin, General Manager of the Anthem Awards. “In a year where so much is at stake, it is incredibly important to recognize impact work and celebrate the progress happening globally. Congratulations to all of this year’s Winners.”

“We are deeply honored to receive this award, which affirms our commitment to educating and supporting the lupus community,” said Susan Bazarsky, Executive Director at Lupus LA. “Our podcast, #YourStoryOurFight, is more than just a series of episodes; it’s a lifeline for those seeking understanding and connection in their journey with lupus.”

By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities. A portion of program revenue is allocated to the Anthem Award’s grant program, The Anthem Fund. This year the Anthem Fund partnered with Billion Oyster Project to support their work to restore and conserve New York’s waterways.
