Team Life Without Lupus participated in the 5K, charity relay, and marathon in 2012. The team was also featured on KTLA in the morning.
In 2012, Lupus LA honored Dr. Soram Khalsa with the Daniel J. Wallace Founder’s Award and Pfizer, Inc. with the Medical Visionary Award. Guests were treated to an acoustic set by singer Natasha Bedingfield. Notable guests include: Hal Sparks, Karina Smirnoff, and Paula Abdul. Sherry Yard donated amazing edible centerpieces for guests to enjoy.
The 2012 Get Lucky for Lupus LA celebrity poker tournament and party marked the beginning of the Lupus LA Ace Award, which was presented to Dennis DeSantis by Michael B. Jordan. Notable attendees were: Joey Fatone, Josh Altman, Lou Diamond Phillips, Chaz Bono, Shanna Moakler, Kym Johnson, Karina Smirnoff, and Gilles Marini. 2012 marked the 10th anniversary of the Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon. We celebrated this milestone with the honorees from the previous ten years.
